It is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close and the beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest peak), across Tanzania’s border. The park has spectacular hills that help in observing the peak and the plains where you can get a glimpse of the elephants.

Wildlife in Amboseli park include, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, leopard, rhinoceros, Cape buffalo and lions that climb trees also hundreds of bird species with swamps in the park attracting over 400 species of bird life. There is also a Lake Amboseli which is dry during aridity.
Visitors can visit the Maasai locals and learn of their culture.
