Its wide-open plains provide a sanctuary for an abundance of animals like elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, hyenas and the Mara’s famous big cats: lion, leopard and cheetah. It also hosts the Great Migration, which secured it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and as one of the ten Wonders of the World. It's Ideal for a reason: its temperate climate, fertile soil and vast plains keep up with a huge number of animals hence, for easy game spotting.
Game drives are the most popular activity in the Maasai Mara, but other activities include hot air ballooning, nature walks, photographic safaris and cultural experiences.

And from about June to October every year, the Largest Overland Migration in the World occurs, The Great Wildebeest Migration is a truly delightful experience of almost two million wildebeests, zebras and gazelles in a seasonal annual cycle driven by rainfall. This happens because the main reserve is unfenced even along the border with Serengeti (Tanzania) which means there is free movement of wildlife throughout the ecosystem ‘The herds are enormous they can be noticed in space!
